Is this Markdown table generator free?

Yes. The tool is free to use in your browser. No account or signup is required.

Do you upload my table data?

No. Editing, paste, copy, and download all run locally in your browser. We do not send cell contents to a server.

What paste formats are supported?

Tab-separated values (typical Excel / Google Sheets copy) and comma-separated CSV. The first row is treated as headers.

How does column alignment work?

Use L / C / R under each header. The Markdown separator row uses :--- (left), :---: (center), or ---: (right).

Can I use the tables on GitHub?

Yes. The output is standard GitHub-flavored Markdown pipe tables, suitable for READMEs, issues, and pull requests.

Why is pipe characters escaped?

A bare | inside a cell would break the table. The generator escapes pipes as \| so your content stays in the correct column.

Is there a mobile version?

The layout is responsive. On small screens the editor and Markdown preview stack vertically. A physical keyboard still helps for heavy editing.
