How to use the Markdown table generator
Create a clean Markdown table in under a minute — all in your browser.
1. Edit the grid
Click any cell (including headers) and type. Use + Row and + Column to grow the table. Remove a row or column with the ✕ controls.
2. Set column alignment
Under each header, tap L, C, or R for left, center, or right. The preview uses standard Markdown alignment markers (:---, :---:, ---:).
3. Paste from Excel or Sheets
Copy a range in your spreadsheet, then click Paste CSV / TSV on the generator. Tab-separated (TSV) and comma-separated (CSV) data both work. The first row becomes the header.
4. Copy or download
The right panel shows live Markdown. Hit Copy to put it on the clipboard, or Download .md to save a file.
5. Samples, clear, undo
- Samples — load People, Pricing, or Checklist starter tables.
- Clear — reset to an empty 2×3 grid.
- Undo — step back through recent structural edits and cell changes.
